You tore your ACL.  Surgery was a success.  You’ve spent six months in physical therapy regaining range-of-motion and strength.  By all clinical measurements, you are cleared to resume sports.

BUT ARE YOU REALLY READY?

There’s a lot more to physically (and mentally) being ready to get back in the game than just pain resolution, full range of motion, and 90% strength compared to the non-injured knee.  If you aren’t confident enough to step back on the field and go 100% then you are putting yourself at risk for re-injury of the same knee or injury of something completely new due to compensation patterns.
